by hordes
of gentle, laughing family,
of gentle, happy friends.
Kiribath and achcharu
mixed with
Enid Blyton and Jane Austen.
Of the island’s heat and chaos,
but an Anglophile deep within,
discovering the beauty,
the magic,
the power
of words.
